clearBudget takes great care to protect your privacy and to secure the data stored on the clearBudget servers. clearBudget employs several professional security mechanisms to ensure the technical and organizational security during development and operations. clearBudget takes measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, unauthorized disclosure, manipulation, or destruction.

This Privacy Policy describes how clearBudget handles the data it has access to.

Overview

When you use clearBudget, you send pieces of data to clearBudget; this can be a name, an e-mail address, or information relating to your financial data. Other data is generated implicitly by your use of clearBudget, e.g. log data.

Log data

clearBudget records certain requests and transactions in log files. This log data is used for troubleshooting, statistics, quality assurance, and to monitor system security and can be analyzed to that end.

Cookies

When you use clearBudget, the service can store cookies on your computer. Cookies are little pieces of information that can help identify your browser and that can store information, e.g. application settings. clearBudget uses cookies to track usage, to improve ease-of-use and the overall user experience.

Outdated data

You can delete outdated data manually at any time using the tool link. When deleting data, that information will be deleted from the clearBudget databases permanently. If you wish to restore, you can contact us at http://www.clearbudget.net/contact.html and we will perform a restore from backup within 30 calendar days after receiving the request.

You can also ask us to permanently delete outdated backup. You can contact us at http://www.clearbudget.net/contact.html and we will perform the delete within 30 calendar days after receiving the request.

Data backups

clearBudget performs daily backups of your data. The backups are kept secure on a separate backup systems with a retention period of 3 month.

You can ask to restore from a specific backup by contacting us at http://www.clearbudget.net/contact.html and we will perform the restore within 30 calendar days after receiving the request.

Unauthorized access

clearBudget implements several mechanisms to prevent unauthorized access to accounts, or other data.

To access clearBudget, you use the secure login mechanism which clearBudget provides. This login process is an important element to prevent unauthorized access to data. You should not share your credentials with anyone else.

clearBudget accounts are protected by passwords. You should choose a secure password and ensure its confidentiality to prevent unauthorized access to your account.

clearBudget do not store your password in anyway (nor in a database neither in log files) therefore clearBudget have no way to retrieve it for you. A change password process is provided as to change a lost password.

e-mail addresses

Like all other personal information, clearBudget will not share e-mail addresses with third parties. clearBudget will not send any e-mail communication to e-mail addresses without prior consent or voluntary subscription.

Communication between you and clearBudget

If you send clearBudget a message, this message can be stored to process it, to compile statistical information, to improve our services and support, or to get in touch with you.

Sharing personal information

clearBudget uses personal information according to the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy.

clearBudget may share personal information with other companies or individuals only in the following limited circumstances: (i) clearBudget has your consent; (ii) clearBudget has good faith that there is a legal obligation to share the data; (iii) clearBudget needs to access or share the data to protect the security of the service or of others users’ data; (iv) clearBudget needs to access or share the data to protect clearBudget’s rights and property or to enforce the Terms of Service.
